Anya J. Schenk, 25, of Bensalem, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020, of an overdose after a long battle with addiction. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of Christine Caripides of Bensalem, PA and Eric A. Schenk (Robin) of Atglen, PA.
Anya grew up in Cochranville, PA and was a 2012 graduate of the Octorara High School, Atglen, PA. Anya was always very determined and once she set her mind to something, she would make it happen; like graduating high school in 3 years at just 17 years old. Anya has had a lifelong love for animals and an affinity for the elderly. Her greatest love was her children. Anya enjoyed all genres of music and was looking forward to seeing Alicia Keys in concert. Anya had a big heart, she loved her family; she was loved by so many friends. She will be missed every day.
Besides her parents, she also leaves behind two children; Jaxson T. Rhoads and Kaia C. Rhoads both of Bishopville, MD twin brother Adam Schenk of Woonsocket, RI, maternal grandmother Jacqueline Suny of Coatesville, paternal grandmother Phyllis Schenk of Parkesburg, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by one brother Ethan Eric Schenk in 2017, her maternal grandfather Ted Caripides in 2007, and her paternal grandfather Richard Schenk in 2019.
The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 11 AM at the Freedom Life Christian Center, 447 Noble Rd, Christiana, PA 17509 with visitation from 9:30 to 11:00 AM followed by interment at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA.
