Annabelle "Tiz" Cox, 85, of East Fallowfield, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. She was the wife of the late Curtis D. Cox who died in 2012. They shared 37 years of marriage. Born in Buck Run, East Fallowfield Township, she was the daughter of the late Fred V. Adams and Lovertus McGinnis Adams.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Hillard (Kearney) and Lovertus Kitchen (Rich); and step-children Bonnie Cox Young, Patricia Gilmore, Randy Cox, and Brian Cox; grandchildren Bryan Kerns, Curtis Kerns, Dwayne Kerns, Carri Simmers (deceased), Brandi Cox Laird, Jami Cox Smoker, LeAnna Kitchen and Ethan Kitchen; 14 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and two siblings, Richard Adams and Bobbie Jeanne Holley. She was preceded in death by two children Curtis Cox, Jr. and Trudy Thomas and four siblings; Horace (Sonny) Adams, Betty J. Doubts, Wilma Jean Powell and Fred V. (Butch) Adams, Jr.
Tiz was the Matriarch of her little farm, Sleepy Hollow. She loved the quiet of nature and the daily parade of wildlife in her hollow. She especially loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoy the pond and the creek on her little piece of paradise. Tiz was grateful for all of God’s blessings and shared them with her loved ones.
A celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of the family.
