Alma Shindle Steen

Alma Shindle Steen, 102, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at St. Martha's Manor where she resided. She was the widow of the late Frank Steen who died in 1995. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Horace J.W. Shindle and Edna Mae Hilton Shindle.

An area resident all her life, she volunteered back in the 1950's with the Coatesville Baseball Little League. She also volunteered with the West End Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by one son Albert Franklin Steen of Coatesville and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Mildred Root and Carol Arnold and one brother Bailey Shindle.

Graveside services at the Upper Octorara Cemetery, Parkesburg, PA will be planned, scheduled and announced at a later date.
