Allen L. "Bum Brown" Brown

Allen L. "Bum Brown" Brown, 81, of Sadsburyville, passed away at his son’s residence on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Born in Chester County, he was the son of the late Enda Brown. Allen shared 34 years of marriage with the late Elizabeth Brown who died in 2003.

Allen was employed by National Rolling Mills (Worthington Steel) for over 43 years before retiring in 2004. He also worked on the side most of his life as a scraper.

He is survived by one son, James A. Brown, and wife Betty of Honey Brook, PA, additionally, he is survived by grandson James and wife Debbie of Honeybrook, 10 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Allen was preceded in death by five children; Robert Taylor, Jr., Ronald Taylor, Betty Jane Taylor, Florence Swift, and Rose Shute, and two siblings: Marvin and Arlene Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, June 21, 2021, from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA, 19365. Friends and family are invited to also attend the viewing from 10 AM until the start of the service. Interment will follow at the Upper Octorara Cemetery of Parkesburg.
