Alice C. Richey

Alice C. Richey, 76, of Cochranville, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at her home.  She was the beloved wife of James E. Richey, with whom she would have shared 58 years of marriage in September.



Born in Gap, Alice was the daughter of the late Landis and Elva Usner Clark.  An area resident her entire life, she was a 1953 graduate of the Cochranville School.



She was a life member of the Cochranville Fire Co. Auxiliary.



Alice is survived, in addition to her husband, by her two children: Debra M. Richey of Cochranville and Donald E. Richey, husband of Sharon (Gillespie), of Cochranville; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Sarah Richey; and siblings, Mildred Ream of Ronks, Kathleen Denlinger of Gap and Anabelle Underwood of Parkesburg.



She was predeceased by her brother, James Clark.



The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 2nd at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Cochranville Methodist Cemetery.  The viewing will be held on Thursday at the Funeral Home from 9 until 11 AM.
