Alan Stewart Hart Sr., son of the late Stewart Ellsworth and Anna Victoria (Summers) Hart, born March 2, 1946 in Camden, New Jersey passed away Friday, March 7, 2025.

Alan was a graduate of Octorara High School class of 1964; studied Computer Engineering Technology at State Technical Institute at Memphis, class of 1974; and studied Industrial Engineering at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, class of 1980.

Alan was a Navy veteran as well as a retiree from Cargill, having completed a 20 plus year career with each.  Senior Chief Hart was an Aviation Fire Control Technician serving aboard the USS Forrestal, Kitty Hawk, Midway, and Nimitz.  Between his two careers, Alan was an instructor at San Diego State Community College.

Alan enjoyed singing in the choir, reading books, model trains, reading books, taking pictures, square dancing, fishing.

Alan is survived by his children - Deanna, Steven, Donald, and Alan; his granddaughters - Brianna, Tatiana, and Marlena; his step-daughter, Celeste; his sister, Doris; his brothers - Larry and Evans; several nieces and nephew, grand-nieces and grand-nephews; many cousins, and his ex-wife, Sheila.

Alan was predeceased by several cousins and his second wife, Leah.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, PA, with visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at sea at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Salvation Army or to St. Jude's
