Catherine J. Filler, 77, of Parkesburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the Brandywine Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Franklin A. Filler, III, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Greenville, S.C., on May 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Caroline and Joseph Mansour.
She is survived, in addition to her husband, by three children: Carolyn Aker of Dover, DE, Ronald K. Filler, husband of Karen, of Lancaster, and John F. Filler, husband of Bethann, of Rising Sun, MD; five grandchildren and her brother, Fred Mansour, of Taylors, S.C. She was predeceased by her son, Gerald Filler and brother, John Mansour.
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery of Lancaster. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Funeral Home from 1 until 2 PM.

Passing of Kitty
Frank and family, you have my deepest regret. Although I know you will all miss her dearly, you may have some comfort in knowing she now rests in a better place void of pain and suffering.
You may recall that two years ago, on this same date, I also lost my best friend and partner of 53 years. It was on Sunday morning July 8th 2007. These past years have been difficult, but I am sure you will all manage to find your way beyond this painful moment. You of course will always remember and cherish the memories of your beloved wife, and mother and grandmother.
