Harry Chesnet, 85, of Parkesburg, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was the widower of the late Genevie Townsend Chesnet with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.
Born in Coatesville, Harry was the son of the late Sara (Bones) and Harry S. Chesnet. He was employed at the former Lukens Steel of Coatesville for 42 years.
Harry was a 50 year member of the Brandywine-Goddard Lodge #383.
He is survived by his two children: Brenda Reynolds, wife of Frank, of Coatesville and Michael Chesnet, husband of Pamela, of Parkesburg; granddaughter, Valerie Reynolds of Cumberland, MD; and six siblings, James, Sara, Richard, Donald, Allen, Doris, and Edward.
He predeceased by three siblings, Elizabeth, Dorothy and Raymond.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in Friendship Cemetery of Gum Tree. The viewing will be held from 10 until 11 AM.
