Condolences

I am secretary of Octoraro Chapter #463, Order of the Eastern Star.  Connie has been a member of our order for 15 years.  She was our organist from 2003 to 2012.  She was always there to help whenever asked.  She also had a great laugh.  She will be missed by us all.  Our deepest condolences to her family.

I am also a member of Octoraro Chapter No. 463, Order of the Eastern Star.  Connie played the organ for our meetings for many years.  Although she always joked that she didn't play very well, it was so nice when she attended and we had music instead of silence during our meetings.  I'll always remember how she talked about the stray cat she found when she lived in the apartments in Oxford; she loved that cat, and now I'm sure they are together once again.  We'll definitely miss Connie, and we send our deepest sympathies and condolences to her family.

I have fond memories of Connie ! I am a member of octoraro chapter #463 and Connie was a great friend ! She provided us great music for many years  but I will always remember her and the many stories of her cat , Benny.  Connie was the ornery one in our group and could always get me in trouble by making me laugh !!    My thoughts are with the family at this difficult  time but please know how much we in the eastern star family loved her !!!     Rest in peace Connie !

Connie was my Aunt and Godmother.  She was selfless and always caring for others. She took care of her mom and dad till the end.  She was a character. She always spoke her mind.  She loved her pets....in my life those were Sam, tootie, and finally Benny who was a stray cat she coaxed indoors.  She was a great cook and always put out a spread when we would visit.  She loved music.  She loved God and when we would have our sing alongs in the car she was quick with a hymn.  In 2012 we had to mAke a tough decision for her to enter a nursing home. She resisted at first but on a visit a few short weeks later she knew everyone there and made the rounds every day telling us "I have to keep these young nurses in line".   She loved Christmas also.  I will miss her. I am most happy that my children got to have an aunt Connie too growing up.

I am a member of the Octoraro Chapeter #463, Order of Eastern Star.  Connie was also a member.  I first met her thru our travel club (the Traveling Stars).  We always had so much fun on those trips.  I remember one we were on in Michigan and were taking a boat over to Mackinaw Island and a lot of us were sitting out on the deck.  It was a beautiful sunny day and all of a sudden a wave came over the deck and I looked back where Connie was sitting and she was soaked.  She took a direct hit.  And not one other person was wet.  We were hysterical.  She was such a good sport.  Later on she joined Eastern Star and became our organist.  She loved her cat Benny, her trips to Atlantic City, our travel dinners and all her friends, and we loved her back!  We will miss her.

Connie was my cousin. I was born the year she graduated high school. I looked up to her and enjoyed her crazy humor. Connie had a caring soul. When I was sick or hurt she came running. And when her Uncle Bib, my dad was dying she sat by his bed and cared fir him like he was her own father. You will be missed , Connie. You are the last of the Millers. Pop Pop Miller will be waiting for you in heaven. Give them all a kiss from me. Love you, Connie.
