It is heartbreaking to stop and think about the sadness you faced day in and day out. It was hard to see it on your face and know that while we could pause it with chats about our favorite country singers or with silly things that were going on around us, we could not mend it. I wish we could have Uncle Curtis, I wish someone could have. I wish I spent more time with you. You were my favorite Uncle, undoubtably my favorite relative on this side, because we were similar in the way that we are big hearted people. It is a tough world to be in when most people don't have that same benevolent nature. Your heart was so big and it was filled with nothing but immeasurable love for your family. I am hopeful that you are somewhere free from the pain that consumed you, listening to your favorite country songs, singing along with a big smile on your face. I still have that CD you got me a few years ago, I think I'll play it some today in your memory. Love you Uncle Curtis.

Though I am saddened you are no longer here, I am certain you've finally found the peace you've long been searching for. You lived a life full of sorrow and heartache that was undeserved but now you are where you belong, amongst the angels and the protectors. You were a good man with a huge heart who valued family more than anything else in this world. I will miss you dearly and your spirit will live on in many places. Love always, little sister Lisa.
