Harry F. Norman, Jr., 73, of Parkesburg, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was the beloved husband of Judith Althouse Norman.
Born in Atglen on March 10, 1936, Harry was the son of Anna May and Harry F. Norman Sr. He graduated from the Scott High School in 1954 and served in the United States Air Force. In 1959 he was employed by the former Luria Brothers Steel Company, retiring in 1998.
He was the proud father of William Glenn Norman, husband Ellen, of Jackson, N.J. and Andrea C. Werder, wife of Charles, of Malvern. The loves of his life were his grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Werder and Charles James Werder. He is also survived by his sister Audrey, wife of Dr. Robert Bashore, of Lancaster, and sister-in-law Charlotte Cazzone of New Providence and also many nieces and nephews.
Harry was predeceased by his parents, sister Judy and brother Carl.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Upper Octorara Cemetery of Parkesburg. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on both Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and again on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
