Charlotte L. Kauffman, 75, previously of Cochranville, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Jennersville Hospital. She was the widow of the late Charles E. Kauffman, Jr. who passed away in 1996.

Born in Chester County, she was daughter of the late Roy and Jean (Graybill) Swinehart. An area resident her entire life, she was a member of the Cochranville United Methodist Church, the Golden Age Club of Cochranville and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cochranville Fire Co.

Charlotte was employed for 25 years as a Bank Teller for the former Blue Ball Bank of Parkesburg.

She was the beloved mother of three daughters, Pamela J. Phillips, wife of Kelly, of Parkesburg, Valerie A. Ross of Christiana and Charlene M. Kauffman of Cochranville; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and siblings, Robert Swinehart of Lancaster, Ronald Swinehart of Georgetown, Gladys Miller of Lancaster and Jean Miller of Coatesville.

She was predeceased by siblings, Roy Jr., Jerry and Barbara Swinehart.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 8th at 11 AM at the Cochranville Methodist Church, 92 Church St., Cochranville, PA followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. The viewing will be held from 9 until 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.

Charlotte was a very pleasant lady. I always enjoyed seeing her in the old bank in Parkesburg across from my office. She was very pleasant to deal with all the time. My sympathies to her family on their loss.

Please know my thoughts & prayers are with you during this difficult time. Your Mom was such a lovely lady, gracious & always friendly, no matter where I would run into her outside of the bank.
