Rainer Eugen Naus, 81, of West Grove, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Janice Lynn Bussler Naus with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Nicholaus Naus and Anna Winter Naus.

Rainer lived in Michigan most of his life and graduated from East Detroit High School and then continued his education graduating from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI. He honorably served in the US Army from 1961 to 1964.

Rainer was employed for 15 years by Astra Zeneca of Wilmington, DE as a records manager retiring in 2004. 

For over twenty-five years he was a member of ARMA (American Records Management Association) serving with the local, national and international boards receiving many awards. He was a member of the GTEV club in Detroit MI, and was involved in schuhplattler dancing, and taking part in competitive German dancing. Rainer was a foster parent in Chester County serving on the Chester County Board for Foster Care. He was secretary for the Knights of Columbus and served as eucharistic minister for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in West Grove.  Rainer was a lifelong member of Phi Sigma Epsilon Fraternity serving as Secretary. Rainer was a boy scout, and shared his love of camping and hiking with his family. After retirement he volunteered at Hagley Museum. He had a love for classic cars and formula one racing. Those who knew Rainer appreciated his timely sense of humor.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by four children; Carrie Naus of West Grove, PA, Ryan Naus of West Grove, PA, Curtis Naus and wife Dr. Laurie Prober of Downingtown, PA and Brian Naus Dreamer and wife Krystal of Malvern, PA, three grandchildren and one sister Ann Baker of Warren, Michigan.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org), West Grove Fire company (www.wgfc.org), Knights of Columbus Pius X council #3858 at ABVM in West Grove, PA., or a charity of your choice.
