Michelle Iezzi Carter, 48, of Cochranville, PA, passed away unexpectedly after a long fight at her home on Monday, June 10, 2024. She was the wife of Sean Carter and the mother of Elijah and Chase Carter. Born in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of Joseph A. Iezzi of Downingtown and Marnie (Hoffman) Gibson of West Grove, Pa.
Michelle earned her B.S. degree from Lock Haven University and her Master degree from West Chester University. She was employed as a teacher in the Downingtown Area School District. She loved her students and kept in touch with many and their families as well. Michelle enjoyed just being at home with her beloved husband and sons but also really loved spending time at the Jersey Shore in the summer. Michelle was a woman of strong faith in the Lord.
Besides her husband and parents, Michelle is survived by her sons, Chase and Elijah Carter, her loving little brother, Steve (Lindsay) Iezzi (Hayden and Logan) of Cochranville, in-laws, Tyrone and Sandra Carter of Coatesville, and brother-in-law, Adam and Sandra Carter (Jahmir, Sanai, Isaiah and Christopher) of Coatesville.
A Celebration of Life for Michelle Carter will be held on July 27 at Christiana Fire Hall, 214 S. Bridge St. Christiana, PA . Visitation is between the hours of 1pm and 4 pm . There will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. If you would like to make a donation please click HERE.
