Marian L. Hilton

April 7, 1933 — January 8, 2025

Marian Louise Hilton, aged 91, passed away peacefully on January 8th, 2025, in the loving comfort of her daughter Karen’s home. Surrounded by her family and her beloved cats (Maggie, Misty, and Missy), Marian’s final moments were filled with warmth, love, and cherished memories.

Born and raised with a heart full of creativity, compassion, and energy, Marian shared 59 wonderful years of marriage with her late husband, John Hilton Jr. Together, they built a life in Honey Brook, raising three beautiful children: Beverly Stern, Karen Senior, and the late Deborah Lutz. She is survived by her daughters Beverly and Karen, along with her treasured grandchildren—Marianne, Chris, Mike, and Nikki—and her great-grandchildren Shane, Lucas, Briana, and Rachel.

Marian was a woman of many talents and passions. She found joy in baking, often creating personalized cakes, pies, and homemade fudge for her family. An avid volunteer during her children’s school years, she dedicated her time to supporting their education and activities.

Marian was a lively spirit who enjoyed roller skating, singing, playing bingo, wood working, crocheting, and spending hours drawing pictures for her grandchildren. Her compassion extended beyond people, as she was known for her love of animals, always caring for outdoor cats and giving them a home.

In her later years, Marian embraced modern technology, keeping in touch with friends through texting. She especially enjoyed exchanging text messages with her dear friend Maureen. One of the earliest “gamers”, Marian had a passion for Nintendo games such as Zelda and Mario, a passion that she passed on to her family. She continued to play up until her final days.

Marian’s life was defined by her unwavering love for her family, her zest for life, and her kind heart. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and sweet memories. Her family finds comfort knowing she is reunited with her husband John, daughter Debbie, sister Rosie, brother, Jake and all those who preceded her.
