Loretta E. Bingaman, 87, of Leola, PA, passed away at her home on Friday, September 13, 2024. She was the wife of the late Harry R. Bingaman who passed away in 2014. Born in Birchrunville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Hazel Bartholomew Barkman.
Loretta worked a few jobs in the Coatesville area, including The Coatesville Record newspaper, Harrison House, and as a caregiver. Loretta loved watching and taking care of her grandkids.
Loretta also was the best hugger in the world, when she gave you a hug, you knew it.
She is survived by her children, Arthur "Ed" Martin (Katie), of Honey Brook, PA, and Elaine Martin-Sloan (Marty) of Leola, grandchildren, Amy McCoy, Audrey Mayo (Cliff), Jason Engle, Justin Martin and Heather Martin, great-grandchildren, Daniel McCoy, Lily Mayo, Dominic Mayo, Airyn Hernandez, Sophia Hernandez, and Elaina Hernandez, and siblings, Carl Barkman (Dee) of GA, Dave Barkman (Bonnie) of East Earl, PA, and Linda Wasson of FL. She was preceded in death by siblings, Wallace, Marshall, Ernest, Doris, Esther, Cynthia, and Lawrence.

Eddie, Elaine, Amy, Audrey and Jason, Sendng our love at this sad time. As you know, our kids grew up calling your mom and grandmother MomMom Loretta. She was always so sweet, warm and welcoming to everybody. We will remember her fondly. She left a legacy of love and raised a nice family. Sorry for your loss.
My sweet sister has graduated to heaven
Loretta was my last living sister there were five girls and I'm the last one she was the one that mothered me when I was a baby she taught me to read and took special care of me I always loved her dearly she was the most loving kind person in my life as a child and always had a special place and always will I look forward to seeing her again when I reach heaven I know she'll be waiting for me at the gate. Although I knew her end was Nearing I have to say I felt a great loss when she passed because of the special place in my heart that she held and the fact that she was my last living sister
