Kaiden Christopher Schmidt, 13 of Coatesville, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024 at the Reading Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Christopher M. Schmidt of Coatesville and Renae Ford Shultz of Honey Brook.
Kaiden was a 7th grader in the Twin Valley School District. He attended the Morgantown Community Church. Kaiden was a proud member of The Centennial Chapter of DeMolay in Downingtown.
He loved his family. Kaiden loved baseball with his mom, basketball, dancing, singing, his video games, being outdoors, hiking and archery with his mom.
Most of all Kaiden loved cars. He had a huge matchbox collection and enjoyed learning all he could about new cars. Kaiden enjoyed helping his dad work on cars from a very young age and loved to take rides in his dad’s hot rod truck. Kaiden enjoyed off-roading, circle track and going to the drag races with his Stepdad Stacey. In the summer Kaiden enjoyed the pontoon boat and jet skis down in Charlestown Marina with his dad. He also loved going to the beach and on adventures with mom. Kaiden was awestruck by each and every new thing he discovered.
He is and always will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
He is survived, in addition to his parents, by 10 siblings; Katrina Forster of Lorriane, Ohio, Deanna Forster of Phillipsburg, NJ, Daniel Kelley of Reading, PA, Rose Schmidt of Coatesville, Nevaeh Cassidy of Honey Brook, Christopher Schmidt Jr of Coatesville, Austin Schmidt of Coatesville, Delilah Schmidt of Chester County, Stacey Shultz, Jr. of Honey Brook and Theodore Shultz of Honey Brook and maternal grandmother Shelly Yost of Honey Brook. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents; William M. Schmidt and Alberta Schmidt. He was also cared for by the Yoder Family of Coatesville.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church, 1121 Octorara Trail, Parkesburg, PA 19365 with visitation from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
