James D. Dugan

James D. Dugan, 82, of Atglen, died on Monday, October 10, 2016 as the result of an auto accident along Route 41 near his home. He was the husband of the late Barbara Simpson Dugan who died in 1999 with whom he shared 39 years of marriage. Born in Chester, PA he was the son of the late Harry and Dorothy Mealey Dugan.

Jim was an Atglen resident since 1976. He was employed, for 38 years by the Scott Paper Company of Chester retiring in 1992. For the past 14 years he enjoyed working for DR Auto in Strasburg, PA. He love restoring old cars but most of all, Jim enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by five children; James Michael Dugan and wife Michelle of Atglen, PA, Mark D. Dugan and fiance Donna Welk of Paradise, PA, Bonnie S. Hammond and husband Randy of Christiana, PA, J.D. Dugan and wife May of Paradise, PA and Trudy Umble and husband Keith of Atglen, PA, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and three brothers; Harry Dugan of Florida, Albert Dugan of Florida and his beloved brother Robert Dugan also of Florida whom he stayed close with.
