Helen Kershaw Pietras, 94, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Harrison Senior Living located in East Fallowfield, PA. Helen was predeceased by her first husband, the late Robert F. Miller, her second husband, the late Clifford L. Forsyth, and her third husband, the late Robert F. Pietras.

Born in Upper Darby, PA, Helen was the daughter of the late Andrew Kershaw and Bessie Bradley Kershaw. As a child, Helen resided in Clifton Heights, of Delaware County, PA. Helen was a 1943 graduate of Upper Darby High School. Helen subsequently relocated to Exton, of Chester County, PA where she was employed by Newcoman Historical Society until retirement. Helen spent the majority of her retired years in Florida and spent the last 11 years of her life in Chester County.

While residing in Florida, Helen was a member of the Port Charlotte VFW and the Gardening Club. Helen had a passion for gardening and enjoyed all types of dance. While residing in Chester County she attended the Wagontown Union Chapel.

Helen also enjoyed reading romance novels, jewelry and fashions, spending time with her family and her two dogs Gi Gi and Zippy.

Helen is survived by her beloved son and daughter-in-law, R. Kevin (Belinda) Miller of Coatesville, PA; three grandsons, Robby Miller, Ricky Miller and David Proudfoot; three great-grandchildren, Aliza, Lilly and Nate who she adored; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who loved "Aunt Helen" who was always ready for any "adventure". She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Donald Kershaw.

Memorial services will be held on Monday evening, June 22, 2020 at 7:30 PM at the Wagontown Union Chapel, 469 West Kings Highway, Coatesville, PA with visitation from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. If you plan on attending, all social distancing must be practiced including the wearing of face masks before entering the church building.

So sorry for your loss. She was blessed with long life and good health and the most prized gift of the love of family. Kevin and Belinda, your selflessness in providing her a safe, secure home where she was able to enjoy the end of her life surrounded by love and care and enjoyable days is extraordinary. May God bless her soul and you both for the precious gift you gave her and may he provide comfort and peace to all who loved and knew her.

I am one of so many people who had the opportunity of knowing Aunt Helen.  She was always available for a telephone conversation and enjoyed a life full of adventure. I so hope you are enjoyuing your five oclock cocktail somewhere special Aunt Helen.

I remember Aunt Helen as a very warm and soft-spoken lady. She made me feel so welcome in her home in Florida. Her smile was endearing and genuine. I am thankful for the little time I was able to visit with her and my Uncle Bob.
