Hazel Cooper

Hazel Cooper, 71, of Cochranville, passed away on Thursday, January 3rd at Jennersville Regional Hospital.  

Born in North Carolina, Hazel was the daughter of the late Del Ray (Roten) Rowe and John Mayberry.  

She worked in healthcare and gave generously of herself to everyone.  

Hazel loved playing royal Rummy; she enjoyed puzzle books, spoiling her grandchildren with sweets and especially spending time with her grandchildren and family.  

Hazel lived a simple life.  She would call an ace an ace and a spade a spade.  Hazel accepted everyone for who they were and no matter what, she always loved them, although she could be outspoken and blunt with her opinions.  

She is survived by her two sons: Joe Smith, Jr. and Billy Rowe; her grandchildren, Danny Compton, David Compton, Jr., Melinda Compton, and Matthew Shakespear; her great-grandchildren, Nathan Ray Rowe, Emma Elizabeth Rowe, and Kyle Richard Rowe; her siblings, Carol Mayberry and Wayne Rowe; and her nieces and nephews, Robert Mayberry, Billy Snow, and Sharon Mayberry and many more who she loved.

Hazel was predeceased by her daughter, Brenda Madrigal-Smith, her siblings, Burl Mayberry, Rick Mayberry, Bobby Mayberry, Betty Fuentes, and Randy Rowe; and her nephews, Ronnie Mayberry, and Ricky Mayberry Jr..  

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 10th, 2019 at 11 AM at Andrews Bridge, 1873 Georgetown Rd, Christiana, PA 17509, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.  The viewing will be at the church from 10 until 11 AM.
