George J. Bradley, 80, of Atglen, died at his home on Thursday, October 13, 2011. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late George D. and Dorothy May Bixler Bradley. George was a resident of Atglen for 37 years. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Marple Newtown School District retiring in 1993 with 37 years of service.


He is survived by five brothers, Robert Bradley of Knoxville, PA, Raymond Bradley of Villas, NJ, John Bradley of Upper Darby, PA, Samuel Bradley of Wellsboro, PA and Gordon Bradley of Atglen, six sisters; Dolores Tancredi of Malvern, Elizabeth Waldrop, Elsie Bradley and Diane Bradley all of Atglen, Edith Hoover of Parkesburg and Barbara Infante of Wellsboro and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother William Bradley.


Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 11:00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at Fernwood Cemetery in Lansdowne. Viewing from 10 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Grace Community Church, 53 Hurley Rd., Parkesburg, PA 19365.
