Gary D. Miller Jr.

Gary Dennis Miller, 48, of Wilmington, DE, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in New Castle, DE.  Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Gary D. Miller Sr. and Darlene Marie Powell Jones and the stepson of Dennis Jones of Wilmington, DE.

Gary previously lived in Earlville, MD., and was a graduate of Bohemia Manor High School.  He was employed as an equipment operator at Safe Harbor Marina.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Drake Miller, and Kerstyn Miller (Michael), grandchildren Maizy, and Michael, brothers, Joe (Laura) Miller, Donald Summers, and a sister, Kelly (James) Jones, and mother of his children and long life friend, Catherine Miller, nephews Kody Miller, Anthony Miller, and niece Victoria Summers.   Gary was also adored by many friends.

Gary enjoyed playing music with friends and family.  He adored his grand children and watching them grow.  Gary was a certified open water diver and enjoyed spending time at the ocean, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Gary is preceded in death by his granddaughter Violet, and father Dennis Jones.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. from the Diamond State VFW #2863, 8 S. Dupont Rd., Wilmington, DE. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the GoFundMe to help cover funeral expenses.
