Frederick E. Landis

Frederick E. Landis, 83, of Parkesburg, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy I. Hess Landis with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Born in Parkesburg, he was the son of the late John B. and Sophia Belle Stauffer Landis.

Fred was an area resident all his life and a 1950 graduate of the former West Fallowfield High School in Cochranville. He was employed by Diversified Printing of Atglen; however, he spent most of his life working on the family farm in Highland Township.
He was a member of the Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three children; Timothy Landis of Britton, MI, Melissa Rosengarten and husband Jeffrey of Havertown, PA and Deborah Nierhaus and husband Barry of Pottstown, PA, three grandchildren; Allie and Alexander Rosengarten and Samantha Skiles, two siblings; James Landis and Carol Silveri and husband John all of Parkesburg and step sister Elizabeth Walker of Hockessin, DE. He was preceded in death by one son David E. Landis.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 2:00pm from the Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church, 1121 Octorara Trail, Parkesburg, PA followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
