Francis William "Frickey" Briley, 95, of West Grove, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, in West Chester, PA. He was the husband of Betty Prange Briley. They had 67 years of happy married life.
Francis was born and raised in Kennett Square, PA. He went on to proudly serve his country as a U.S. Marine during World War II. He then went and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he was awarded the Bronze Star. After his years in the service, he returned home and worked as a furniture salesman in Kennett Square.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of West Grove, PA, sister-in-law, Julia Powers of Rising Sun, MD, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at Faggs Manor Cemetery, 508 Street Rd., Cochranville, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust
