Dorothy "Dot" Marie Gouge

Dorothy "Dot" Marie Gouge, 75, of Cochranville, passed away peacefully at her home on October 17, 2021. Born in Creston, NC, Dot was the daughter of the late Elworth D. and Myrl G. Welch Lewis.

Dot lived in the Chester County area since she was 5 years old. She was a graduate of Octorara High School. In recent years, three churches were dear to her, Calvary Baptist Church of Avondale, Safe Harbor Baptist Church of Cochranville, and Westgate Baptist Church of Lancaster.

Dot gave her heart and life to Jesus and accepted his sacrificial gift of salvation for the atonement of her sins at a young age. This decision profoundly influenced her, for the better, throughout the rest of her life. She was happy being a child of God and took many opportunities to tell others how they, too, could become children of God.

Dot is survived by her son, David Ryan of Cochranville, grandchildren, Ariel Pate of Peach Bottom and Justin Ryan of Lancaster, 3 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Kathy Rupert of Cookeville, TN, and Carson Arnold of Cochranville.

Dot was reunited with her son, Rodney Gouge, who died in 1996, in Heaven last Sunday night. She is undoubtedly alive, well, very happy, and with Jesus. Dot was a perfectionist and now is only surrounded by that which is perfect.

Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 218 Ellicott Road, Avondale, PA on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 12:00 Noon, with a viewing from 11:00 - 12:00, with the burial at Methodist Cemetery in Cochranville.
