Donald “Cy” Wilson, 88, of East Fallowfield Township passed away surrounded by his loving family at his residence early Sunday morning November 20, 2022. Born in Chester County he was the son of the late Harry F. Wilson Sr. and Martha (Stanley) Wilson. He was the beloved husband of the late Yvonne Wilson with whom he shared 25 years of marriage. After his wife passed away in 2008, he moved to the farm where he shared many great years with his family.
Donald was a graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High School and received a full ride to The University of Miami on a football scholarship. He went on to serve in the United States Army where he also played football and later worked as a Signalman for Septa for over 40 years before retiring in 1996. He was a tri-sport athlete at Coatesville where he earned the nickname “The legend” and earned a spot in the Coatesville Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
Outside of work he enjoyed time spent with family, trips to Delaware park to partake in slots and horse racing and listening to Big Band Music. Everyone loved his sense of humor, he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by two daughters: Vicki Rubincam and Teresa Martin, one brother: Harold Wilson and wife Barbara, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by four siblings.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to be present in our thoughts.
