Cole Spencer Steidler, 21, of East Fallowfield Township, passed away suddenly on December 31, 2020.
Cole was born in West Chester, PA on February 7, 1999 to Kelly (Dunlap) Steidler and Jeffrey D. Steidler.
He is survived by his parents and sisters Kelcy, Lilly and Chloe Steidler; his grandmother Lorraine (Cain) Steidler, and many loving relatives of the Dunlap and Steidler families. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Suzanne and H. Spencer Dunlap, and his paternal grandfather Frank A. Steidler Jr.
Cole attended Pope John Paul II Regional Catholic Elementary School and graduated from Coatesville Area Senior High School. He was member of St. Joseph’s church in Coatesville where he served as an altar boy as a child. He played football beginning at the age of 6 and enjoyed the competition and teamwork of the game, developing lifelong friends. He acquired a work ethic and drive that would embody his spirit into early adulthood.
Cole attended West Chester University, studying finance and economics. He worked at Wegmans in Downingtown, and most recently TD Bank in Exton to pursue working in the financial industry. Cole possessed natural leadership qualities, cherishing work and professional relationships.
Fly fishing local streams became a passion for Cole. He was skilled at tying flies, and a graceful and natural fly rod caster who found serenity in flowing waters. Cole shared that love for fly fishing by volunteering for Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, teaching the art to Veterans at the Coatesville VA Medical Center. In 2016 he proudly but humbly received an award for his dedication and support as a volunteer.
Cole valued relationships with people by keeping a close and loyal group of friends that he shared many adventures with. He traveled to places such as New York City, Washington DC, mountains, oceans, and everything in between. He spent time living in Los Angeles, CA enjoying the nearby natural beauty and bustling city life. Cole was a loyal and true friend to those lucky enough to spend time with him, and he considered himself blessed by these friendships.
Cole loved music of all genres and was often found experimenting with his mixing and recording equipment. Music was a large part of his life and he found joy in finding and sharing new artists and sounds with others.
Cole is loved by his family and friends. He was a gifted and special person who touched the lives of those around him. Cole’s loving and protective presence is greatly missed but especially by his sisters, who benefitted from his guidance and advice.
