Clinton A. Forrester, 90, of Atglen, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Landis Homes of Lititz where he resided for the past 15 months. He was the husband of Mary L. Doss Forrester.
Born in Chilowhie, Virginia on September 8, 1919, he was the son of the late Samuel and Kitty Rouse Forrester.
He was employed for 35 by the former Malcolm Wright Buick Auto of Coatesville as a salesman. Clint was a resident of Atglen since 1942 and a member of the Penningtonville United Presbyterian Church of Atglen where he faithfully served as trustee for many years. He also served, for many years, as Judge of Elections in Atglen.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by one daughter Barbara, wife of Dale T. Landis of Lititz, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was the oldest of eight children including, Cecil, Dorothy, Shirley, Barney, Dewey, Conley and Samuel. he was preceded in death by a son, Sherman Avery Forrester.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 11:00am from the Penningtonville United Presbyterian Church, 406 Main St. Atglen, PA 19310 followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Church Trustee Board at the above address.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg.
