Chester R. "Teddy" Criswell, 92, formerly of Parkesburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Newport Meadows in Christiana, PA. He was the husband of the late Marie Lewis Criswell who passed away in 1999. Born in Martins Corner, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Lloyd and Lillian Elizabeth (McMinn) Criswell.
Teddy was educated at the Gum Tree School and then worked as a caster for Buck Iron Company in Quarryville, PA. He was a member of the Kennett Square Baptist Church. He enjoyed listening to country music and he was an avid Phillies fan, never missing a game!
He is survived by a sister, Martha Shank of Parkesburg, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Meriam E. McCord and a brother Robert Criswell.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, PA, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Nottingham Baptist Church Cemetery at a later time. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Octorara Area Food Cupboard, 714 Main St. Parkesburg, PA, 19365.

Westminster will never be the
Westminster will never be the same without Teddy. He was always out to greet you and talk about his Phillies. I always tried to get him to wear a Yankees cap, but never would. Doug and I will miss him very much.
