Chester Bruce Hoover, 81, formerly of Elverson, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, in West Chester, PA. He was the husband of the late Loretta Kay Hoover. Born in Cochranville, he was the son of the late Clifford and Dorothy Shute Hoover.
Chester retired after many years working for Coatesville Electric and Denny Electric. He was an avid Elvis fan who loved to travel. He enjoyed passing the time watching planes at the Chester County Airport. He will live on through the many stories his family tells about him.
He is survived by his sons, Ricky Lee Hoover (Rose), of Reading, PA, and Jeffrey A, Hoover of Honey Brook, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and siblings, Clifford Hoover, Barbara Gibson, Janet Blair, Patsy Fite, Lillian Simes and Doris Hilton and preceded in death by his siblings, Marian Cox. Ralph Hoover, Donald Hoover, Anna Mary Wiggins, and Larry Hoover.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA with a visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Oxford Cemetery. Masks are mandatory for attendance, no exceptions.
