78 Years
Morton, Pennsylvania

Amos Edward Neuhauser, "Ed," was born in Morton, Pennsylvania on May 18, 1937 and passed away on January 18, 2016 after many years of serious heart, lung and kidney issues.

He was the son of Warren Amos Neuhauser of Gap, Pennsylvania, a turbine engineer for Westinghouse, and Mary Ella Houder Neuhauser of Parkesburg, PA.  Ed was the oldest of three brothers, John Kenneth Neuhauser and Robert Houder Neuhauser, known for their great senses of humor and good-natured pranks.

Ed graduated from Scott High School, Class of 1956, in Coatesville, PA, where he excelled in math and science while playing the trombone in the band.  He went onto Drexel University and got a degree in chemical engineering.  He then worked for Sinclair, BP, and Catalytic Construction.  Catalytic was purchased by Air Products, where Ed designed chemical plants for corporations all over the U.S., Puerto Rico, and England.

He married Barbara Susan McLucas Neuhauser at Coatesville Presbyterian Church in 1957.  During his married years while a student at Drexel, the couple had three daughters, Robin Lynn Neuhauser Wray, April Eileen Neuhauser Baldwin, and Sharon Lee Neuhauser Bousquet.  He is also survived by five grandchildren: Jordan Warren Baldwin and wife Sara Roberts Baldwin, Kyle Hollins Wray, Melissa Autumn Baldwin, Pierre-Andre Bousquet, and Rami-Tomas Bousquet.

An avid Phillies fan, Ed was also a dedicated member of local pool leagues, lately as a member of the Coatesville Moose Lodge pool team.  He enjoyed conducting flight simulations from his home computer, gravitating to computer programming in the 1980s.  Ed had the smarts of an engineer with the heart of a lion, was beloved by his family and will be missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to support the American Heart Association at www.heart.org, National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org, or Chester County SPCA at www.ccspca.org, as he had a lifelong devotion to dogs.

A viewing will take place at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA on Friday, January 29th, 2016 from 10 AM until 12 noon, followed by a Celebration of Life reception at Coatesville Moose Lodge, 1200 Airport Rd, Coatesville, PA.

Condolences

To the family of Ed I send my sincere sympathy on the passing of Ed. He and I worked together for many years at Catalytic and I considered him a good friend. We worked on many projects and I was always amazed at the depth of his knowledge. We also had many pleasant discussions on the Phillies and baseball in general. He was a good guy.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.

Sincere,y,

Dave McGorman
