Alma Ruth (Noble) Collins
Alma Ruth (Noble) Collins, 90, formerly of Towerville, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at the Tel-Hai Retirement Community, Honey Brook, PA.
Born in Trenton, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John Isaac and Winnie Noble.
An area resident since 1948, she was a homemaker early on and then employed by Coatesville Area School District as Cafeteria Manager at South Brandywine School , retired after 27 years of dedicated service in 1991.
She loved the Lord and was an active member of Towerville Christian Church, having served in various positions including Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Superintendent. Alma loved gardening with her husband and caring for her family.
She is survived by one son, Kenneth Leon Collins, and wife, Pamela, of Coatesville, two daughters-in-law, Georgine Collins of Coatesville and Vicky Collins of Coatesville; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leon O. Collins, with whom she had shared 55 years of marriage; two sons, William Dennis and Michael Wayne; four sisters and two brothers.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 14th, 2021 at 10 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg with a visitation from 9 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private at Friendship Methodist Cemetery.
