Walter L. Welsh

Walter L. Welsh, 96, of West Caln Township, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. He was the husband of the late Louella Jane Refford Welsh who died in 2000. They shared 48 years of marriage together. Born in Honey Brook, PA, he was the son of the late William Welsh and Edna Greenleaf Welsh.

Walter was an area resident all his life. He was employed, for 25 years, by the Coatesville Area School District at Kings Highway Elementary School in the janitorial department retiring in 1983. 

He is survived by three children; Linda L. Houston of Gap, PA, Glenn L. Welsh of Coatesville and Brian S. Welsh and wife Jeanette of Parkesburg, eight grandchildren; Christine Densmore of Delaware, Bobby Houston, III of Gap, Jacquline Patton of Parkesburg, Benjamin of Lancaster, Tristan Schmitt of Parkesburg, and Ken, Kevin and Keith Millisock, 15 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and one sister Vera Supplee of Honey Brook, PA. He was preceded in death by one daughter Judy Millisock.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to the time of the service.
