Vincent L. Lent
Vincent L. Lent, 82, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, in Lancaster, PA. He was the husband of June Burchett Lent for over 61 years. Born in Zanesville, OH, he was the son of the late Norval and Mary Catherine Leddy Lent.
Vince started his career proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy and traveled the world for 3 years.
Vince retired from Wyeth Pharmaceuticals as a stationary engineer and moved to Huntingdon, PA. More recently he moved back to Cochranville, PA. He was an active member of the Heritage Baptist Church in McConnellstown, PA and developed many lifelong friends.
Above all, Vince loved his family, and he included his wife, his daughters, his sons in law and his closest friends as his true family.
He loved to fish and hunt with his closest friends. He taught his daughters to love nature and the outdoors and loved to be with his grand kids, playing games, taking them fishing, kayaking and tubing. We will miss him dearly.
He routinely gave his time to helping friends and family. He also volunteered extensively over the years helping to keep Raystown Lake safe, clean and well stocked with striped bass. Indeed one of his last wishes was to have his ashes spread over his beloved Raystown Lake.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Kelly (Dominic) Liberatore of Malvern, PA, Trish (Bob) Reisler of Oxford, PA, and Cathy (Mike) Eckman of Christiana, PA, seven grandchildren, Lena Audette, Reina Eckman, Delilah Dalton, Myra Eckman, Caden Dalton, Jake Eckman and Dominic Liberatore Jr., two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Andrew Audette, and a brother, John Raymond (Carolyn) Lent of Zanesville, OH. He was preceded in death by brothers, Walter and William Lent.
