Bridget M. Doan
Bridget Mary Montoro Doan, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24th, 2023 at home while holding her husband's hand. She was the devoted and loving wife of Randy E. Doan, Sr., whom she spent 38-1/2 tremendous years with. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Auer Montoro.
A lifelong resident of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, Bridget graduated from the Coatesville Area High School in 1977. She helped her parents run the Western Auto store in Coatesville, worked for Burroughs Corp., and Berger & Hayes Engineering before meeting her husband Randy. She then became a proud stay at home wife and mother while completing all of the secretarial duties of their construction company, "Randy E. Doan Framing". She helped start and run the library for LanChester Christian School (across from G.O. Carson airport) in Sadsburyville, PA. She taught the independent learning system at the school and was one of the main coordinators of the school's annual "Craft Fair" fundraiser.
Bridget was active in the children's ministries both at the Church of the Open Bible in Parkesburg, and Wagontown Union Chapel in Wagontown, and she also volunteered as a Brownie Troop Leader. Most recently she enjoyed attending Faith Bible Fellowship Church of Lancaster.
After the children were grown and out of the house, she went back into the workforce at the Coatesville Veterans Hospital supporting PTSD and substance abuse programs; eventfully supporting the Chief of Psychology.
She enjoyed all types of growing; flowers, trees, and vegetables. Her favorite summer pass time was fishing on the Susquehanna River for small mouth bass. She loved traveling to foreign countries and hanging out with the local people away from the main resorts.
Always looking for ways to help and support people less fortunate than herself, she found time to volunteer and donate money or supplies to various charities and other organizations. One of her favorite charities was "The Point" Youth Center in Parkesburg, PA.
Before her illness, she and Randy were wrapping up a total remodel of their retirement home on the side of Jack's Mountain in Mifflin County. They thought they had the perfect retirement story all written out, that is; until the Editor reviewed the story. He made a couple of changes they weren't anticipating. As she always did, Bridget still found a way to be thankful for even the smallest of gifts our Lord has bestowed upon us. She taught Randy to be grateful for every precious second they shared together. She was totally confident in her eternal glory, and grew closer to it each day; all the way to the end.
She is survived by her husband Randy, son Randy, Jr (Stacie) of Lancaster, PA; daughter Patricia Yoder (Andy) of Coatesville, PA and a son Earl A. Doan, III stationed in Chania, Greece. Also survived by grandchildren: Cora Lynn and Lana Cay Yoder of Coatesville, and Kyle Joseph Doan of Long Beach, MS, and three sisters; Susan Moorhead (Jim) of Palmyra, ME, Heide Eagles (Matthew Marcelli), of Coatesville, Noelle Raytik (Michale) of Coatesville and a brother Mark Montoro (Nadine) of Williamsport, PA.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Parkesburg Point Youth Center, 700 Main St., Parkesburg, PA 19365.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg, PA. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com

Miss You
Mom,
Words can't begin to describe how much I miss you already. You were hands down the best mother anyone could have ever asked for, but more importantly one of the best friends I have ever had. You were a beautiful person inside and out. I love you and know that you are looking down on us all with your beautiful smile.

Although we lost touch after graduation, I remember Bridgette from our High School days.. What a beautiful tribute you've written for someone who obviously loved others so well, and who was so dearly loved herself. Such joy and heartache as I read of the great blessings and unexpected sorrow that touched her life. I've worked at the Parkesburg Point for the past 8 years and want you to know that her generous spirit has helped to meet the physical and spiritual needs of countless children. It is life changing for them. What a legacy she has left behind in the lives of both her family and for others who she's never even met. Can't you just picture her as she sees the face of Jesus! I'm so very sorry for such a tremendous loss and hope you find great comfort in beautiful memories and in knowing that the 'sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that will be (has been!) revealed' in your precious wife/mom/grandmother. . Bridget has always been very
Bridget has always been very dear to our family. Aunt Bridget lovingly provided childcare for our little Munchkin, as Randy nicknamed her. Bridget was a beautiful person inside and out. I never saw her without a smile on her face and a warm greeting. And always the best cup of coffee for you no matter the time of day. Her faith is truly inspirational. All our love to Randy and the kids.

Bridget, Bridget, Bridget…. Words can’t express…. You were definitely a beautiful person inside and out. And, for everyone that knew you knows the answer to this question “Were you SAVED?” YES, YOU WERE!! I could go on and on about your good works in and outside the church. I could go on and on about how you helped me through some moments, talked with me, prayed with me, it brings tears to my eyes. You will surely be missed!!
I send my heartfelt condolences to the entire Doan Family….

From THE POINT
Randy and family, on behalf of the staff, board of directors, and the hundreds of youth and their families that are served by THE POINT, we want to express our deepest condolences for the passing of your beloved Bridget. Bridget and Randy have been supporters of our ministry for many years and have given generously to make sure the needs of hundreds of youth are met. Besides volunteering, donating, and praying for our ministry Bridget has always been and encouragement to me whenever we talked or randomly bumped into each other at Walmart. Randy, you are a good man and you loved and honored Bridget. You brought her joy and was the love of her life. Together you honored Jesus by serving those less fortunate. She is with Jesus now, and you will continue the good work as she smiles down on you each and every day. Blessings from my family and THE POINT family.

To a wonderful friend
I was so saddened to learn of Bridget's sudden declining health a few months ago. My sincerest condolences on your loss. I always enjoyed coming over to assist Bridget with her IT questions or problems knowing it would ultimately involve a chat about life, the mountains of Central PA (where my family hails from too), trout fishing, hiking, Penn State Football, and overall discussions of kids and family. Bridget was such a fresh of breath air and had this undeniable magic way of making you feel good. I will truly miss her and our talks. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Doan family and the overall community of work colleagues and friends and family she touched so fondly. Your friend, Kevin Bresler
Gone To Soon
Randy and Family,
I cannot even begin to express how sad I was hearing about the passing of Bridget. I met Bridget at the VA many years ago and we have crossed paths over the years. She was a ray of sunshine who will be greatly missed. Embrace all the fond memories that you shared with her to help you get through these difficult times. Fondly, Sue England

Randy and Family, I am so saddened to hear of this news. My heart aches for you, and although I only met Bridget one time, just talking to her for those few minutes, I know she was one heck of a woman. There are no words to express the sadness that you must feel, but our Father only hand picks the beautiful flowers first from His garden. Bridget will be with you, and as you go about your day you will "see" her in the things that you do. Let the tears fall as they come, and hold onto the joyful memories that have been made.
With my deepest condolences,
Kelly
