Forrest C. Book, Jr., 81, of West Caln Twp., Coatesville, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at his home. He was the widower of Joan Book, who passed away in 2007 after they had shared 58 years of marriage together.
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Forrest C. Book Sr. and Elsie Yarnell Book. He was a 1948 graduate of the Scott High School and was employed by the Coatesville Country Club and self-employed as a Farmer.
He is survived by his two children: Dorl Hilton of Coatesville and Forrest C. Book III, husband of Scottie, of Coatesville; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Quarryville Cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing, which will be held from 10 until 11 AM.
Donations may be made to the Neighborhood Hospice, 400 E. Marshall, West Chester, PA 19380.
