My deepest Condolences goes out to you guys from the bottom of my heart. Big Ash had a huge Influence in me becoming the man I am today. With his tough love and caring words when needed. No matter how bad of a day we had at work he always had a way of saying or doing something that would make me laugh. I am only half the man that he was and because of that it makes me twice of a man and father then most other men I know. He was like my second father, my only regret is that I never got to tell him how much he meant to me and that I truly loved him like a father.

Ash's passing
Hello Sally. My brother David called me yesterday to tell me of Ash’s passing. Sadly, the ten-hour distance from northern Kentucky to Caln Township kept me from spending much time with Ash in his later years, although we did get together for a poker game on occasion when I was back in town. From the many Hearts and Canasta games at your home and working with Ash when he launched his contracting business in the 70s, trips to the hunting camp in the 80s, to the poker games in dad’s basement years later, I knew Ash as a model of dedication to family, hard work, and the ability to laugh through adversity. Handicapped? Not an ounce. In fifty years I’ve never seen anyone who was so out front with what others might see as an affliction. Ash’s style helped me to be up front about my narcolepsy. “Yes, some might see it as a handicap and I don’t… and I won’t let you see it as a handicap either.”
My condolences to you and all of your family.
