Heather and family,
I was shocked to hear of Chris' passing today. Our Family is currently serving in New Orleans with the Evangelical free church crisis response ministry, and I heard the news from Beth Thompson at our home church- Keystone Church this morning.
I'm deeply saddened by your your loss, even though we have been out of touch since High school. I played on the basketball team with Chris and will never forget the time his artifical eye was knocked out and rolled across the hardwood! I think he chased it down the better part of the entire court! What a hoot!
I know the pain your kids are dealing with as I lost my Dad to cancer when I was 8. It was not sudden though like this was for you. Chris' death is a reminder for me just how short life can be and how suddenly things can change in our lives. It make me re-think my priorities, and how important it is to spend time with family and focus on the eternal things and not the temperal things.
Know that we as a family are thinking of you and praying for you too. May God truly be your refuge and strength as David writes in Psalm 46:1, and may your help come from Him-Ps 121.
May God bless and keep you through this difficult time and the weeks and months to come.

With Deepest Sympathy
Donn and Family,
Chris will surely be missed by us all in the Office. It won't be the same and I am going to miss him scaring the crap out of me everyday by smacking the wall. He got me good and I got him once but said I owed him big time! I guess that will have to wait until we meet again! We will always remember the bright outfits he would wear around the holidays. The last being his black with red pin stripe suit and red shirt. He looked like a pimp! Donn, would look at him and say "who's child is that anyway" lol. Chris was the life and full of energy. Singing in his cubicle and always picking on Rocky! He will be missed!

My Deepest Sympathy
To Heather, Brielle, Lillie, & Zach,
Hey Heather, I am so sorry to hear about Chris. He was a really great guy. When I moved to the east coast at thirteen, I suddenly had no friends. Even though Chris was eleven years older than me, he really went out of his way to make me feel like we were buddies. I can't tell you how much I appreciate having that positive male influence at a difficult age. I will miss him very much.
With Our Deepest Sympathies.....
Dearest Heather and children, we were totally shocked when we learned of your loss. Our hearts and prayers are with you, your children, your parents Joanne and John and the other members of your family. God moves in mysterious ways, not for us to understand. Remember Chris in all his loving and kind moments and cherish his time with you and the kids forever. Love and Peace to you all, Dale and Wayne
To Donn & Family
We were so sorry to hear about your son, Chris. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.
To the Kirk Family,
To the Kirk Family,
I had the honor of working with Chris on the renovation of the Benjamin Franklin Memorial. Honor... I do not use this word lightly. I only got to know Chris through the vein of work. But I knew from what I saw there that he was a good soul in all aspects of his life. He was tenacious, blustery, but most of all honest. And by honest I mean in the fairest sense. A rare quality, and one I treasured about him. I trusted him. And it saddens me so because I looked forward to working with him again. I think to myself, if he had this affect on me, I then cannot possibly imagine what this time means for you. To that end I will pray for peace in your hearts.
Thoughts and Prayers
Heather, my thoughts and prayers are with you. You and Chris were one of those couples that you knew were "in love". You're confidence and security in each other was visably obvious. Please know that you are not alone, there may be times when you are by yourself, but trust and know that you are not alone! - Beth Thompson
Our thoughts are with you in Australia
Dear Heather, Brielle, Lillie and Zach
We haven't had the privilege of meeting you but as close friends of Lucille and Dan we feel we know you. Please accept our deepest sympathies on your loss.
Dear Lucille and Dan
We love you and our hearts, too, are filled with sadness.

My Deepest Sympathies
Dear Heather, Brielle, Lillie, and Zach,
My deepest sympathies go out to you. Chris was such a great guy and I feel fortunate to have known him. Even though we shared a fairly large age gap, he always took a genuine interest in me and made me feel like we were buddies. I will always remember the times we spent joking around and playing some pickup basketball together. That meant a lot to me. He will be missed dearly.
May His Memory be Eternal.
May His Memory be Eternal.
Heather, Heather,
Heather, Heather, Heather,
You and your kids are heavy on my heart. I wish I was closer so I could give you a hug, have a cup of coffee and talk with you. My mom has said that Chris was a WONDERFUL father. I've enjoyed reading some of the funny stories on this website. I am so sorry that you and your family are having to endure such terrible heartache and I pray that during this difficult time you experience the peace and joy that comes from God. I am thinking of you.
