Gerald D. Swisher, 54, of Gap, passed away on Tuesday, August 1st, 2017. He was the son of Joy Gillespie Swisher and the late Horace C. Swisher.
Gerald was a 1981 graduate of Octorara High School. He worked as a Tow Motor Driver at A. Duie Pyle of Parkesburg, PA.
He is survived, in addition to his mother, by three siblings, Debra E. Giannotta, wife of Nick, of Kirkwood, Wade A. Swisher, husband of Gail, of Gap, and Kelly F. Bachman of Peach Bottom, one nephew Ryan M. Bachman, two nieces Nicole A. Bachman and Megan A. Swisher and one Aunt Tamara Oswald.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 12th at 11 AM at Parkesburg Baptist Church, 103 West St, Parkesburg, PA 19365 with a visitation from 10 until 11 AM.

I am so sorry to hear of Gerry's passing. Gerry was a classmate and very good friends with my late husband Andy McKinley. Worked with Gerry (aka Huckleberry, aka Corky) at Super Thrift in the late 1970s. We stocked shelves and commiserated working for Charlie Perch together. Great sense of humor. We had lots of fun working together. He will be missed.
