Freda Reese Fronefield, 71, of Atglen, passed away on Thursday, January 26 under the care of Neighborhood Hospice of West Chester.  She was the beloved wife of Vernon "Butch" F. Fronefield, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage.  

Born in Coatesville, Freda was the daughter of the late Raymond and Vera (Gregory) Reese.  She attended Henderson High School of West Chester.  

Freda was a member of Andrews Bridge Christian Fellowship in Christiana.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by her six children: Vera Brooks, wife of Bill, of West Chester, James Smith, husband of Mechelle Houck, of Downingtown, Lucy Garver, wife of Douglas, of Kinzers, Vernon G. Fronefield, husband of Karen, of Parkesburg, Jerry Fronefield, husband of Missy, of Norfolk, VA and Elaine Barrett, wife of Ernie, of Parkesburg; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; her brother Floyd "Mac" Reese of West Goshen; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by five siblings.

The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 31st at 11 AM at Andrews Bridge Christian Fellowship, 1873 Georgetown Road, Christiana, PA  17509 with a viewing from 9:30 until 11 AM.  The interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
