Clinton A. Forrester, 90, of Atglen, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Landis Homes of Lititz where he resided for the past 15 months. He was the husband of Mary L. Doss Forrester.
Born in Chilowhie, Virginia on September 8, 1919, he was the son of the late Samuel and Kitty Rouse Forrester.
He was employed for 35 by the former Malcolm Wright Buick Auto of Coatesville as a salesman. Clint was a resident of Atglen since 1942 and a member of the Penningtonville United Presbyterian Church of Atglen where he faithfully served as trustee for many years. He also served, for many years, as Judge of Elections in Atglen.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by one daughter Barbara, wife of Dale T. Landis of Lititz, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was the oldest of eight children including, Cecil, Dorothy, Shirley, Barney, Dewey, Conley and Samuel. he was preceded in death by a son, Sherman Avery Forrester.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 11:00am from the Penningtonville United Presbyterian Church, 406 Main St. Atglen, PA 19310 followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Church Trustee Board at the above address.

Our sincerest sympathy to Clinton's family on his passing. Mr. Forrester was a wonderful, sweet man who was a great friend to my father. They loved to sit and "shoot the breeze" for hours. Clinton has been reunited with his dear son, Sherman and my father now. May God give his wife and family peace during these difficult times.

Remembering Clint
It is with great fondness that I remember Clint. Every cherished memory I still hold of Clint features his warm smile, the gentleness and wisdom in his quiet words, his ever-present grace, and his unmistakable faith and dignity. He was truly a gentleman who deeply loved his family, his friends and his God.

So sorry to hear of Clinton's passing. Jeff's father, Harold worked at Malcolm Wright with him. He was in service. Clinton sold Jeff several vehicles. We enjoyed dealing with him because of his positive outlook on everything. He will be missed greatly.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr Forrester. When I was a tennager,I worked at the Atglen Market. Mr Forrester would always come in, and stay a few minutes just to say hello, and talk to everyone. My deepest sympathies go to his family.

Mary, I just learned of
Mary,
I just learned of Clinton's death and wish to offer my condolences to your family. I remember growing up on Ridge Ave in Atglen and playing with your granddaughter, Stacey. Years later, we would be neighbors again and my daughter and your great granddaughter shared memories. I will always remember Clinton sitting on your porch and calling me over to offer me advice or chat for a moment or two. He was a kind man. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
