Condolences

To our dear friends, Marge and family, we extend not only our sympathies, but our love and assurance of our caring. We know from experience the hurt from the loss of a beloved younger family member. However, we know God is sovereign and do not question His timing on these hurtful occasions. In addition, we are so sorry that our being in Virginia on Saturday will not allow us to be with you at the services, though we shall be with you in prayer.

So sorry for your loss. Carol went to Parkesburg Elementary School with me. She was in the same
Grade as my departed husband Bobby Walton. Octorara Alumni have lost another talented classmate.

We only knew Carol a short time but it was a precious time.

My mother, Ann Marron, just told me about Carol. My brother, Chet, who is at my father's house in Christiana, PA read about Carol in the local paper. I hadn't seen Carol since her wedding many years ago. Carol was always a great friend and excellent pianist. She and I had great times together at Youth for Christ meetings, at church and at her house. We participated in all kinds of activities together at Octorara, like the school plays, musicals, chorus, track and field, etc. I remember playing a flute duet with Carol at church. She was very talented and looked up to her sisters. She was the youngest of the "Buzzard" family. I enjoyed skating on the Cardwell's pond in Steeleville. Carol was an excellent student in high school. I remember she was one of my first friends when I first moved to Atglen in 7th grade. Carol was a born-again Christian, like me, and I know I will see her again soon. It's comforting to know that she and her dad will be there to welcome us when we finally get called to heaven. Rest in peace, Carol.

Carol was a dear friend to my sister. If it were not for her...I don't think my sister would have weathered high school as well as she did. Carol came into my sister's life with a purpose....God bless her and her family at this difficult time.

Although I didn't know your sister, I know you will miss her. She is at rest now and I'm sure you can take solace in that. Sorry I can't attend the service as I will be working, but Joan will try to get there. You are all in our prayers. Dave.

Dear friends,

I am so sorry for your loss. I just found out on Saturday that Carol died. I thought of her often and will remember her fondly as we were good friends during our childhood. She is with our blessed Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ , and some of her beloved family members and friends who have passed before her.

Heaven will be a sweet place with many happy reunions. May God grant His blessed peace to you now as you go on in this life without her.

Lovingly,

Carol Mattick Kauffman

I'm so sorry to have heard of Carol's going home to her Lord. I remember the good times we had at YFC each Saturday night. Her God given talent of panio playing and quizzing She was a good friend at school also. I'm sorry to have missed paying my respects at the funeral, but I didn't know about it until Sunday.

I saw how Carol was loved and nurtured by Elaine and Phil, and know that the sweetness of Christ was brought to her through them. That is a comfort and blessing the whole family can share.

Brainy, talented, hard working and kind-hearted - these are just the words that come to mind over 30 years time to describe a gifted classmate. From what I read, Carol made the most of her gifts in life. Heartfelt condolences to family and friends for your loss.
