Joseph John Butler, 87, of Downingtown, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 at the Coatesville VA Medical Center Hospice Unit. Born in Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Bertha Wolinski.
Joe proudly served in the US Air Force from 1948 to 1950. In recent years he spent much time visiting the Coatesville VA hospital to be with his fellow veterans.
He was a member of the Hibernia United Methodist Church and more recently had attended the Downingtown United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Hibernia United Methodist Church, 220 Hibernia Road, Coatesville, PA with the Rev. Joan H. Trout officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation at the church from 10:30 am to the time of the service.
