William E. Large, Jr.

William E. Large, Jr., 83, of Parkesburg, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Harrison Senior Living Center of Christiana.  He was the widower of Marie A. Large, who passed away in 2006.

Born in Coatesville, Bill was the son of the late Elizabeth and William Large Sr.  

He served honorably as a tank driver with the US Army during the Korean War.  Bill was a Past Commander for the Parkesburg V.F.W., and a member of the American Legion and The Moose.

He was employed by Acme Marking in the Shipping Dept., retiring in 1992.

Bill is survived by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and his caregivers, Paul and Penny Swank.  

He was predeceased by his siblings, Joe Large, Marie Miller and Ruthann Robinson.

The Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Upper Octorara Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 until 11 AM.
