Vernon W. "Bud" Mattson, 74, of Honey Brook, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 3, 2018. He was the beloved husband and companion of Anna Etheridge Mattson for 30 years also of Honey Brook. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Francis Mattson and Pearl E. Reeder Mattson. 

Bud was a County resident all his life. He served honorably in the US Army in Vietnam from 1965 to 1971.

He was employed as a truck driver with H.E. Trego Trucking, Inc. of Lionville, PA. 

He is survived by one sister, Frances Mattson; five children; Patti Dykes of Chicago, ILL., Robert Bennett and wife Gem of Coatesville, Chastity Powell and husband Shawn of Gap, PA, Vernon W. Mattson, Jr. of Honey Brook, PA and Jessica Alexander of Coatesville, nine grandchildren, Robert Bennett jr., Alyssa Bennett, Tyler Mattson, Lucas Thompson, Ethan Thompson, Paul Mendenhall, Alicia Ruck, Ashley Powell and Cody Powell, four great-grandchildren, Liam Bennett, Cadence and Emelie Ruck and Jaxton Lantz; nieces and nephews, Sonya Rivera and husband Ed, Rob Parsons and wife Karen, great nieces and nephews, Preston, Alyvia, Joshua, Tiffany, Mackenzie, and Chloe. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life, which will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 3:00 PM to ??? at the Old Village Inn, PA-23 & Mill Rd, Morgantown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory directly to the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA 19365.

Dear Anna,
