Richard Allen Schweitzer, Jr.

Richard Allen Schweitzer, Jr., 54, of Lewistown, PA passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Reading, he was the son of Thelma Rhodes Hines of Coatesville and the late Richard Allen Schweitzer, Sr. 

Richard was an area resident most of his life. He attended the Coatesville Area School District. He was formerly employed by Blosenski Waste Management Services as a truckdriver and more recently he was employed as a farmhand. 

He is survived, in addition to his mother, by one daughter Laura L. Watrous and husband Sean of Gap, PA, one granddaughter Halie Watrous, four siblings; Margaret Schweitzer, Sherry DeHaven, Brian Schweitzer and Steve Schweitzer all of Coatesville, PA. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, February, 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA 19365 with Pastor Robert Coats officiating. Visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory directly to the Wilde Funeral Home at the above address to help defray funeral expenses.
