Ralph Daryl Cooper

November 3, 1949 — July 4, 2021

Ralph Daryl Cooper, 72, of Parkesburg, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 4th, 2021, surrounded by his family.  He was the beloved husband of Ann Cooper, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, Ralph was the son of the late Mary Wawrenuk - Cooper Spealman and Ralph F. Cooper.
An area resident his entire life, Ralph was a graduate of Scott High School.  He served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War, serving in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970.

Before retiring in 1993, Ralph worked as a police officer at Valley Township Police Dept., Coatesville Police Dept., South Coatesville Police Dept., and Sadsbury Police Dept.  He also worked at the Public Utility Commission.

Ralph enjoyed collecting antiques, especially marbles and bottles.  He enjoyed gardening, traveling (especially to Atlantic City), fishing anywhere he could, and watching Star Trek.  He loved his dogs Foxy and Kelly and his parrot Harley.  But most of all, he loved his family, who he would spoil every chance he had.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his five children: Stephanie Ortlip, wife of Randy Jr., of Parkesburg, Ralph Cooper Jr. of Morgantown, Denise Anderson of Parkesburg, Richard Anderson, husband of Karen, of Mooresville, NC, and David Anderson, husband of Samantha, of Coatesville; grandchildren, Cierra, Shayne and Ashlee Cooper; Dakota, Brook, Faith Ann, Jaxon, and Jameson Cooper; Jasmine Anderson; Richard, Katie, Alexis, and Caleb  Anderson; Tiffany, Samantha, Heather, David and Dustin Anderson; six great-grandchildren and Mariela Hernandez due in August; and Ralph's brother, Larry Cooper, husband of Tina, of St. Petersburg, Florida.

He was predeceased by his son, Ryan Miller.
