Paul J. Fillman, 88, of Glenmoore, died on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Coatesville VA Hospice Unit. He was the husband of the late Alice S. Fillman who died last June. Born in Downingtown, he was the son of the late Samuel and Ethel Lewis Fillman.
Paul was an area resident all his life and proudly service in the US Army during WWII in the China, Burma theater of war. He was employed as a machinist by Beloit Eastern Corp. and Corner Board machine shop both of Downingtown.
Mr. Fillman is survived by two children Dennis J. Fillman and Janet DiStefano both of Glenmoore, two grandchildren Anthony and Allison, three great grandchildren, nieces Ethel Mendenhall of Gordonville, Dorothy Langley of Sadsburyville and two sister-in-laws, Dorothy Fillman of Downingtown and Daisy Harpel of Corner Ketch. He was preceded in death by four siblings; Sam, Warren, John and Stella Fillman and one niece Helen Walton.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 11am at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, 2321 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008.
