Michael Cortez "Corey" Allen

Michael Cortez "Corey" Allen, 45, of Christiana, PA, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Monday, May, 20, 2024. Born in Coatesville, he was the beloved son of Michael Nelson Allen and Roberta Linda Folks London-Allen and fiancé  to Tyesha Jacks.

Corey was an area resident all his life and graduate of CASH High School of Coatesville and the Vo-Tech CAT Brandywine.
He was proudly employed most of his life as a carpenter in the construction industry.

He is survived, in addition to his parents and fiancé , by three children; Michael Cortez Allen, Jr., Koron Makai Allen, and Tiaira Marie Gibbs all of Coatesville, and eight siblings; Darren E. London(Robyn) of Coatesville, Michael N. Christmas(Liana) of Lititz, PA, Michael E. Walker(Charise) of Delaware, Brian Reeves of Coatesville, Darren Bruce Reeves (Bridgete) of Oxford, Linda Easton Jones (Ray) of Augusta, Georgia, and Cherlene Christmas of Delaware, Aunts, Uncles a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and a special young man, Dequan Lamont Gibbs, whom he helped raise like a son.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 128 Irish Lane, Coatesville, PA followed by interment at the Mt. Zion AME Cemetery, Atglen, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
