Lois L. Thompson, 64, of Cochranville, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014, in Philadelphia. She was the widow of the late John N. Thompson who died in 2012. Born in Lancaster County she was the daughter of the late Burley and Marie Greer Mayberry.
She was a graduate of Solanco High School, had lived in this area all her life and was retired from Quest Labs.
She is survived by her children, John N., husband of Rhonda, Thompson Jr. of Cochranville, Eric S., husband of Tammy, Thompson Sr. of Christiana, Kristin S., wife of Sean, Merritt of Cochranville, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, siblings, Danny Mayberry and Phylis Baker of Oxford, and Barbara Stanley of Nottingham.
She was preceeded in death by siblings, Lenard Mayberry and Shirley Shoun.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014, from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA 19365. Visitation from 10:00am until 11:00am. Internment will be at Glen Run Cemetery, Atglen.

lois was the nicest person you could meet was kind to evyone ,i was so glad to have been a friend in work and at play she loved her family dearly,was always fun to be around lois always had something funny to say she even had names for certain parts of your bodymy husband an i was having breafast at her home one morning and shecame up with a name for part of the body and she had us laughing so hRD WE WE COULD BARELY EATlois was so kind and fun we were close when the boys wher growing up we didn't hang as much after kristen was born so my memories of kristen is as a toddler,then i got a baby and we just didn't have all the free time asbefore but westill had our times on the phone then i had a stroke and the number i had was no longer good so i finaly got hold of john and got her number different from the one she gave us at the lab oneday the lab was the last thin i did withlois an she even made that fun,taking my blood she had us laughing like crazy yes laughing while she is sticking me with needle,and i'm a hard stik but she was good at it but we lughed anyhow that was the kind o person she was ,she was my sister ,thats what she felt like to me i still find this hard to beleive that lois is really gone ,i wil continue to pray for the family,may god bless you all and give you strength.lois loved her family,she was so proud that the kids took over and handled everything may god bless you all for doing the rght thing by standing by your mother,KRISTEN she spke of you,KRISTEN SHE SAID SHE WOU;DN'T HAVE KNOWN WHAT TO DO IF IT WASN'T FOR YOU she loved you dearly,said how seet and kind you are and that you are a good girl and was so glad she had you,lois was glad that her sisters took her out,we were talking about wheelchairs ,she said yea they have o push me around at times,again i am so sorry for your loss call on jesus he will get you threw,she will always be with you,you have all your memories in your heart where she will live forever in spirt lois will always be watching over her family she rasded u right so live by what she taught you, i am so sorry for your loss
